Teena Marie (Tina Marie)

Teena Marie or Mary Christine Brockert, born on March 5, 1956 and died on December 26, 2010. She was known as Tina Marie before taking the popular name "Teena Marie". She later acquired the nickname of "Lady Tee" or "Lady T" that given to her by mentor, collaborator, and friend who's named Rick James. She was an songwriter, producer and American singer. Tina was known for her  beautiful distinctive soulful vocals which initially caused many listeners to believe she was African-American. Her success in  some genres of music such as: R n' B and soul and loyalty to these genres would earn her the title Ivory Queen of Soul. Lady Tee masterly in keyboards, rhythm guitar and congas. Teena Marie also wrote, produced, sang and arranged virtually all of her songs since her 1980 release, Irons in the Fire, which she later said was her favorite album.
